day off

b had an unexpected day off today, so the kids enjoyed him dropping off and picking them up from school and nursery - what a novelty! I spent the morning trawling through old photos for the lorelei album cover...but got distracted by loads of little videos we had taken round about the time that peggy was born - the kids were so weeee and just so baby-faced and lovely...and hilarious...and blonde...and squeezable. anyway, that was the morning out the window.

After a quick bike ride, then tea - beth and daisy had their school discos. some of the kids were really dolled up with high heels, hairsprayed hair and all sequinned to hell and back...not my girls: daisy wanted to go goth and beth had a canary when I tried to put a wee bit of eyeliner on her. just as well I'm not one of those mothers who's into beauty pageants...
