girls about town

I have successfully managed to avoid the 'build a bear' shop in aberdeen ever since it opened years ago. but, goddamn it, my sister and I took the girls there today to spend daisy's birthday voucher. actually - it was quite funny, peggy chose hilarious high heels and pants for her bear (it's actually a dog) - and daisy's dog is far more practical in dungarees. you can buy heaps of accessories for the bears.........including a wheelchair......what - the - blazes? what kid would decide to make their bear disabled??

anyway...after indulging the girls and quietly mocking the entire operation to ourselves, we went on our way - now with 'wolfie', 'susie' (who has since had a sex change and become 'lucas') and 'baby lucas' in tow.

we popped into the belmont cinema, just for a wee look through the poster sale I mentioned in a previous blip - and I got the poster I had been after all along - the darjeeling limited - woohoo, thanks g! very pleased...

we also nipped into the art gallery to see the diane arbus exhibition - great black and white photography from new york, definitely worth a look - but we left quite quickly because the girls were roaring laughing at the nude photos and I thought we might get thrown out if we stayed any longer.
