Eiffel Tower at Dusk
This was the view across the Seine, as I left an exhibition on the Avenue New York in Paris.
The exhibition is at the Fondation Mona Bismarck, featuring an excellent private collection of Matisse prints (lithographs and etchings--not his best-known work, but modes that he returned to his entire life). Mona von Bismarck (1897-1983) grew up as a daughter of the Kentucky blue-grass region, and went on to become a European-American socialite and fashion icon.
I hesitate to use the Eiffel Tower in blips, but this shot seduced me. For the curious, here are more (2009-11):
Vue de la Grande Roue
Notre Dame--and More!
