Happy Burns Night

After a few days of very poor blip-o-tunities today has seen two... I was planning to blip the Haggis in the fridge, but then the post arrived. I was so so taken by the colour and softness of this Merino roving that I just had to do it. The colours are very girly, but should be perfect for wet felting at some point this weekend. Looks very much like candyfloss at the moment though!

Now back to that Haggis, it's been named Hagrid the Veggie Haggis, but I'm not sure our son truely believes that this was a free running veggie eating Haggis just weeks ago, nor the tale that he had one leg longer than the other, nor that the Meat Eating versions are terrifying... but I am right aren't I... Haggis truely are lop legged animals running in the Scottish Heather!

Happy Burns Night to those celebrating - its a pity we aren't closer to my brother in law who would have piped our Haggis in.

The Selkirk Grace

Some hae meat and canna eat,
And some wad eat that want it;
But we hae meat, and we can eat,
Sae let the Lord be thankit.
