Knitting in circles

It was a Friday. A fact that we were well aware of.
The fact that Chrysa becomes homocidal on Fridays, was unknown to Cath.

So the fact that Cath ripped down the 5 inches of Chrysa's knitting, who had taken a year to do this, with the help of "You tube", started a surprising ignition of a Greek temperament. There was screeching and stamping and a few pulled faces, but Cath survived and the knitting lost more than half of the extra stitches and may actually fit Chrysa, when it's finished. She left with almost the same length of kntting, as it now knits up quite quickly. Perhaps she will be wearing it the next time we meet.

I even managed to wrest my knitting bowl away from her, but I did have to promise her I would make one for her.


In other news, "The Big Meeting" at Ally's work was good...........hopefully for his prospects, but after the very bad news earlier in the week regarding the cancellation of the Graduate sponsoring scheme that Mr.R was destined for, it sullied the week for us.
Compared to our Kiwi chums, that doesn't amount to a hill of beans, but the dissapointment at his future being curtailed is quite heart wrenching.
Back up plan number 2 or is it 3 starts when he returns from Germany.....again. These Frauleins seem to have a magnetic affect on him, (well one of them actually). Oh and the translation work he's been doing pre interview for a publisher across there seems to have gone quite well.
