seagull on the thames...................

ok so it's not the most imaginative title but i'm feeling a bit weird about the pic. having been inspired by stingdings outstanding bird shots i thought i would have a bash myself. so of i went down to the thames to try and catch the birds down there. i was forced to go there as the muppets who have control of the sports ground behind our house have butchered all the trees that grow on the perimeter. trees that have been standing for over a hundred years have been cut down to stumps so they can improve the facitlities. they really don't need to and now all the birds and squirrels have been displaced. so today when i wanted to take some wildlife pics i was forced to go further afield.
Baby McD did come out with the sweetest line when she asked why daddy was moaning. i explained about them cutting down the trees and all the animals having no place to live and she said, "thats ok, they can live in my house." she was talking about her dolls house............kids are just so simple in their solutions to problems.

anyway we have this pic today (i'll prob stick a link in later to the other finalists). not sure this was the best one but i do like how it almost seems to blend in with the water.

anyway the allergy test stickers are now off, thank f**k but i still can't wash my back until wednesday.
