For me, photography exists as a passion rather than a profession. To this day, I have never had any formal training and I am still very much an amateur and predominantly self-taught.
Photography had created that flicker of animation in me and before long the basic knowledge had been assimilated.
I soon realised that the captured images on film, sparked recollections of events I could never, or would ever record in words. No matter how good or bad my early attempts were, I could treat every one as a memory of people and places I had met or visited. I could not imagine being without my cameras.
