Now I have made 77 Blips it looks as though I am going to be a stayer with Blipfoto so it is time to write something about myself.
I live at the top of the South Island of New Zealand in a very picturesque spot in Tasman Bay. My three children are scattered around the world and busy raising their own families – thank heavens for Skype and Social Media to help us keep in touch.
Retired from teaching, I love having the time to indulge in various hobbies and interests. A keen genealogist, I am now involved with the use of DNA testing and genetic genealogy. Reading is a passion and of course, photography. An average, but keen photographer, I joined Blipfoto to get me out there taking photographs in order to learn how to use my new camera effectively..
I am not really a great fan of post photo processing, preferring to let the camera tell the story, but I can appreciate the skill some have in working with their photographs. It is hard to keep up a standard every day – but that has to be good for the skill level.
I am enjoying Blipfoto and all the Blip friends I have made around the world. I am in awe of the skills you all have and love to look at your beautiful pictures. The best result from joining is that I now look more closely at the world around me and with a more appreciative eye.
