I got my first own film camera with help from brother Jim (RIP) who helped with the cost of the lenses. As part of my art & design course there was basic photography 1 & 2. I remember my final photography project was a local scrapyard.
Never really found a style or technique for myself and only did a few years of graphics, mainly tracing other folks' work to colour separate & which photography wasn't needed.
Lots of part time jobs & caring duties over the years.
Had a few digital cameras but currently using a 2nd hand phone for taking pics. Still miss carrying a camera especially when the weather is unpredictable.
I started Blipfoto as a way of getting myself out and about, helping my mental health issues and which become more important over the years after family bereavements.
Mainly photographs of Edinburgh, nature and the garden.
