Photos have always been my diary. My first proper camera was a Praktica with a Tessar lens bought with the proceeds from working in the Drummosie Hotel in Inverness before the descent to student poverty. I took my camera everywhere and took thousands of pictures on cheap bulk black and white film. I printed only the best but never threw out a negative.
