Another emergency blip. One of my birthday presents from the other week.

Jack Daniel's Single Barrel. I like JD, it's probably down to my unfulfilled ambition to be a rock star/guitar hero, the ordinary stuff is good, the Gentleman Jack even better but this is the mutt's nuts. Only comes out on special occasions and my previous bottle is just about gone, so the Daughter played a blinder when she got this for me. As my Uncle Joe used to say "That's too good for poor people!"

On the quiz front we won again tonight and this week there wasn't much of a bias in the questions.

Our opponents Stopes Tavern , trying to be cute, elected to go second, presumably based on the second set being generally easier over the last six or seven weeks. It backfired though because our questions just fell right for our team. Several science questions so no problem there, Clint eastwood movies...no worries, astronomy...doddle, even a fishing question...easy peasy. My individual questions also worked our perfectly this week.... Human Skeleton...."What is the correct anatomical name for the shoulder blade?" and in the second half Mexican food..."What name meaning little donkey is given to a tortilla with a variety of fillings, principally beef?"
