A Gift

At almost 5:30 this evening the doorbell rang. We weren't expecting anyone and we had just gotten out of the pool to fix dinner, so we were really were not prepared for company. No one ever knocks on our door or rings the doorbell. I looked at Mr. Fun and asked if we were expecting anyone. "Not that I am aware of," he replied.

Moments later Mr. Fun was stepping back inside from retrieving a package that had just been left on the front porch by the UPS delivery person. The photo reveals the contents. Maple Syrup and goodies from Ohio!

This gift comes from Skip of Skip's Blips in Ohio, and we were delighted! We didn't have the package open 5 minutes when we each were devouring one of the pieces of maple candy. Yum! Mr. Fun wanted to know if I wanted another and I said with urgency, "No! Not till have a chance to get a blip!"

So tomorrow morning it's waffles here at the Fun-house to try the maple syrup, and what a delicious moment that is going to be.

Thank YOU Skip (and Skip's hubby). We are thrilled. It is so fun to receive gifts in the mail.
