We may not have had any snow, but this morning we had a huge frost and no sun, so we went to the park for frosty pictures. Even though it's half-term here, there weren't any ice-cream vans in evidence. Serves them right for not selling tea and coffee.
Later on we went to Milton Keynes to get some stuff, and on the list was a Maglite torch. MK has all the regular high street chain type shops, but if you want to buy something out of the ordinary like a torch or a proper camera, you would have to search for hours going into shop after shop until you give up. It's OK if you want a handbag or a pair of shoes or a floral top, but if you want a box of matches then forget it.
I found the torch in a camping shop eventually, and I didn't really want a camera. The matches were to burn the bloody place down.
