How many men...
does it take to build a table?
Just the one, but with at least 3 onlookers to provide moral support and guidance.
It's the unwritten law of digging a hole in action for all to see!
Corin has been helping out our neighbours this morning by building their new patio table and putting a latch on their new gate. They've had some building work done to extend their house and make it more accessible for their son, who is severely disabled. The builders have done a fantastic and rapid job - they've been amazing to watch in terms of progress and we've supported them with brews, biscuits and access to power whenever we have been around to do so.
So, we had a couple of hours over the fence this morning, me and Tracey watching whilst Corin worked. Just after this was taken, there was a flurry of activity as Mark and Gary were waiting to get off to the pub for lunch but didn't want to go until the table was done and lifted over - heavy glass top which would have been too much for me and Tracey!
The rest of the day - a bit of shopping, washing on the line, taken the kids to the swimming baths only to find they were closed for the afternoon and then come home to spray paint a new canvas. Now, I am going to watch the kids rampaging around the garden filming a spoof zombie movie involving Michael Jackson. Don't ask!
