Another sleep deprived night last night - 6 am I finally settled.

Wasn't helped by the fact that both of us thought we heard something outside, behind the house. The encampment of illegal travellers across the road has brought with it a sense of paranoia, particularly given that they have jumped one of the locals, that there has been a burglarly (we don't know if it's them, but there's not been a burglary round here for years), they were fighting in the pub on Saturday night, and a gang of the kids from the site decided to attempt to intimidate one of my friends as she walked to Asda with her kids at the weekend. They ended up throwing stones at her before they legged it when she got her phone out to ring the police.

It doesn't take much to unsettle a neighbourhood. This seems to have done a real good job of it. Awaiting an update from local police, who have been to court to start legal proceedings today to allow them to evict them from their illegal site. It's ridiculous.
