...tell them of my book....
It's that time of year again, two weeks from now the 16 year olds will have left us to begin study leave, with only the exams left to do.The 14 year olds have finished their course and now need to start their GCSE course.
So it's time to dig out all the old completed books and test papers and give them to the pupils to take away and use for revision. Here they are all neatly bundled up, ready to go home with them tomorrow.
I've taught them everything they need to know to pass the exam, now they have to learn it all and remember it. The cupboards in my lab can all be re-arranged and the bottom shelf will be empty, waiting for the new intake in September.
We went to the quiz tonight, less teams in than normal, maybe it's the hangover from all the recent Bank Holidays, or maybe it's because we've finally got a quizmaster who's clamped down on the googlers and mobile users.
Walked it, won by 10 points...so that's the £20 voucher for next week. Some unusual questions tonight:
1. Which five letters in the game of Scrabble score 4 points each?
2. Which is the world's largest mountain that's not part of a range?
3. Which 4 leter word is derived from the Romany word for child?
Time for bed, one more day until the weekend, maybe I'll do a bit of fishing.
Das vidanya moy padruga.
oh... you want to know the answers?
1 F, H, V, W and Y
2. Kilimanjaro (though I still maintain it's the island of Hawaii)
3. Chav.....yes I know doesn't that explain a lot!
