Growing up
but still loves snuggling with his blanket and his mum (in that order) on the sofa.
Tonight we watched Doctor Who, from last night. We tried watching it last night, but aborted the mission on the basis of the very loud and, frankly, quite terrifying storm that started about 5 minutes into the programme. The windows shook and the first flash of lightning and bolt of thunder were almost simultaneous - I thought the house had been hit.
So we switched everything off and played chess instead.
I got my arse kicked by that lovely, boy with the innocent eyes. Don't be fooled - he has a calculating brain that managed to move me to exactly where he wanted over a 50 minute game...gleeful he was when he cried "I think you'll find that's checkmate" - I didn't see it coming until about ten moves before, when I had absolutely no way of retrieving the game.
So, little man, we know that brain is full of magic neural pathways. So, I wish you the very best of luck in your SATs tests this week - do your best, that's all I want from you.
