Stormy Weather

... and white sails, Bray.

This photograph was taken as the skies darkened but the sea-front and sailing boats were still almost sunlit.

Bray is at the southern end of Dublin Bay.

We have a favourite cliff walk near Bray.

There is a railway below the path, designed by Brunel, that sometimes runs within feet of the cliff-edge and the sea. A series of dramatic tunnels link Bray and Greystones. Trains run frequently on this fine piece of engineering.

As we were returning towards Bray, we could see that the sky was getting darker and the clouds thickening over Bray, and the main photograph followed from these changes in the weather.

Here is a small gallery of photographs that I took on this year's visit to Bray.
