Not being Negative about things.

Not a very good day for any fantastic blip ideas. Not really had much time to organise anything special, but Emma attempting to inflate her cycle tyre was an OK one. Except it did look a little bland. No matter what I did to it didn't improve it much, so there we are, it's ended up negative.

The day has been filled with bicycle maintenance / rebuilding, oil and filters change on the car from Solihull - and in between, watching Hamilton, Alonso and Webber fight it out at the Nurburgring GP Strecke.

The Nurburgring circuit in the Eiffel Mountains isn't what it used to be. It is now just over 3 miles long, whereas before 1977, the Nordschleife configuration was used which was over 14 miles long. It was impossible to marshal properly and when Nicki Lauda had his almost life-ending crash in '76, that was the end of Formula One at Nurburgring. The German GP transferred to Hockenheim for 1977, with the 'ring holding only a few GP races over the next 20 years.

Today's race was a close one and congratulations to Lewis Hamilton for his sixteenth win, closing the gap slightly with Vettel and Webber.
