Red Bull harbour reach.
Well how nice of red bull and Lyme to put on this special event especially for my 500th blip!!
I have been looking forward to this event all week as it is not only a first for Lyme but in the whole of Britain. Two guys thought up the idea of wakeboard jumping and approached red bull to sponsor it. They agreed and together they decided that Lyme harbour would be the best place for it to happen. So the first competition was this evening. The wakeboarders were winched across the harbour and then did a super fandangled jump (maybe not the technical term) over the North wall. If I had no children I would have loved to be at the front, if I had lots of money it wouldn't have mattered where I stood as I would have had a HUGE lens. As it was I was very lucky and got a good enough spot, with a good enough lens, but was stood by some fantastic people who were down on holiday and fell in love with my children. I was free to snap away as they were being wooed and being entertained by complete strangers!!! Bonus. The whole event was amazing and the guys really were very impressive. They are allowing members of the public to have a go tomorrow but only 20 people. As I would obviously put the pros to shame I thought it was only fair not to take part. That's how nice I am!
As for the 500th I know I have broke with my tradition of having the children and hubby spell out my milestone. I may get them to do a random appearance soon or I may make you wait until 730!! Thank you so much to everyone that stops by and looks or comments. I love this site and am grateful everday that I found it and very excited that this Tuesday I get to meet some real life people from inside the land of blipfoto!!!
