......Oops.....I did it again.......

Well, I finally gave in!

After more than 365 blips with my trusty little Samsung S10/70 I succumbed to the lure of bigger is better........and bought this Nikon D3000.

Well, when I say bought it.....I haven't yet paid a penny for it. There was a deal on....reduced from £500 to £348.99....and for an extra £20 a bag and a 16GB memory card as well........and it's "buy now, pay in six months time"....so that gives me time to save up. It has a AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm f/3 5-5.6 VR lens, That might as well be Greek for all it means to me!

Now all I need to do is learn how to use it....properly.

So it's going to have to be some lessons with hebs methinks....she is my photographic guru from this moment on!

The Boss said "Ooh, very nice. At least it gives us more options for Christmas and birthday presents for the man who has everything. When you've learned how to use it you can show me so I can borrow it!"

The Son and Heir said " Nice one Dad! We'll be able to borrow it sometime to take some good shots of Charlotte!"

The Daughter said " Oh...more toys Dad?" Doesn't she know?.....the one with the most toys wins!

I'll still need to do lots of blips with the sammy....you can't take something like this with you when you go fishing....but I'll be able to do some arty-farty things with this.....it's even got a baby setting!...and a sports setting....and portrait, landscape, close up and night settings too....as well as programmed auto, shutter priority auto, aperture priority auto and manual modes.

My head hurts already! Only 66 pages of the manual to read!
