Can you see the road markings?
No, apparently, neither could half of the people who I shared the roads with this morning, or this evening.
Neither did they understand the concept of safe distance. I had a mercedes van glued to my bumper this morning for five miles. He had room to overtake me in either of the other two lanes, but no, he sat, apparently less than 2 foot from my bumper whilst doing 70mph. He nearly climbed in when the traffic ground to a halt further up the road.
Indicators? Purely for decoration apparently.
Don't even get me started about queue jumping, forcing your way in and failing to observe red lights and/or yellow hatched boxes thus causing blocked access and delaying my journey by half an hour.
Frankly, I am getting really annoyed now - the last two weeks, there has been traffic mayhem either in the morning or the evening (or both on one day) and it is caused completely by selfish driving.
I was sent this alternative Highway Code by a friend a few weeks back. It sums up the attitude I seem to be seeing.
20 miles takes me an hour.
Grrrrr.
(I'm the blue one, surround on all sides by imbeciles!)
Watching a fab programme on BBC4 about Science, the periodic table and the nature of the different elements. Chill time now.
