Rosie's Rose
When I arrived home much later this afternoon than I had planned, I rushed in and immediately let the pooches out of their crates and we all zoomed out the sliding patio door -- of course they were prancing and dancing and trying to jump all over me. If we don't get out the door quickly, accidents happen on the carpet. ;-)
As we wandered around the backyard, I was sure there wouldn't be anything interesting to point my camera at and then Mitzi and Chloe walked to the other side of the yard, the fountain side, and we passed by the mini-rose bushes. The bushes are not mini, but the roses are. I saw this little lovely bud and captured it. The backyard is a mess from the combo of wind and rain this past week and we're having light wind currently and rain is predicted for the weekend.
It's been a blur of a day for me. Writing Center duty this morning, then some office time, then to the classroom of a part-time faculty to observe and evaluate. Even though I don't like doing evaluations, it is always interesting to see the methods another instructor employs. Then I headed to the grocery store, and finally home. I've graded papers all evening. It is almost midnight. I'm whipped! Exhausted! As soon as this uploads, I'm crawling to bed.
Good night from Southern California.
