...BOOM-BANG-A-BANG....

What a f**king day.

Bad night's sleep on Friday because the Boss is away.......fell into bed around 11.00 last night....even worse night's sleep....woke at 4.00, 5.15 and 5.50...eventually gave up and got up just after 6.00, an hour earlier than planned.

There was a howling gale and driving rain........Shaun phoned at 6.30 to say that he wasn't going fishing......I thought about and decided the same. I'm getting too old to sit still for 5 hours in a howling wind...and it was a bloody cold wind too. The sky cleared about 9.00, but the cold wind was still there. So it seemed like I'd made the right choice.

Shaun phoned again about 1.00 to tell me that only 6 had turned up for the match....and they'd moved the venue to a more sheltered lake....but they hadn't bothered to phone us! That's going to cause some trouble...it was a Winter League match....and one of the rules is that the match has to be fished or totally cancelled and rearranged if the weather is too bad....so Shaun is going to declare the result/points null and void! There'll be ructions!

The Daughter and I had a bacon butty and then went off to one of the local garden centres to see the C******* display. It was rubbish....and they're charging £8.00 for the kids to see Santa!!!!!!! We managed to buy a tree decoration for Charlotte and something else for her...but I'm not blipping them until after Dec 1st.

Came home, watched the GP and then set about cooking...just as I was reaching for the black peppercorns to re-fill the grinder there was a bang and a bright blue flash from behind me....the bloody microwave had blown up....it was only defrosting some meat....and it's only three months old!!!! So that's another job to do....take it back and get a replacement!

So all together between the vomitting baby, the crap weather, the missed fishing, the let down at the display and the exploding microwave it's not been a good weekend.

I feel the need for a beer!!!
