Budapest Day 1

The joys of international travel are hugely tempered by the rigmarole of getting airborne; the chilly predawn taxi ride to the airport; the mindless shuffling along a maze of lanes to get to security; the divesting of shoes and dignity with the body pat down; the marathon walk to the boarding gate; the herding cattle like on to buses and finally boarding a full plane with inadequate luggage space.

Welcome to life as an ordinary punter with Jet 2.
"Lady Findhorn" brought no special concessions.

Three hours of sun above the clouds and then we descend into a dreich, wet Budapest.
But the welcoming smile from D77 makes it all worthwhile.
Tomorrow it will be crisp and cold and the Christmas Markets await.
Bring it on, make it happen!
