Whitby Abbey

Whitby weekend day 1:

Got settled into the hotel and as it's only a couple of hundred yards from the 199 steps up to te abbey, that's where we decided to begin our exploring.

After that, we had a wander around to familiarise ourselves with the town and search out a place for dinner.

We chose The Hatless Heron, just a few doors away from the hotel and had a really lovely and very filling dinner there. It was so good, we just knew we wouldn't be eating anywhere else!
