Evening Flowers
It was about 9pm and not particularly dark but I could sense the twitching blinds (they don't have curtains round here) and eyes boring into my back wondering why I was standing in the middle of a flower bed in my slippers with tracksuit bottoms taking pictures.
It served me right for not going out earlier when I was full of inspiration and a spirit of adventure. That was all sapped after a day gazing at my work laptop, the enthusiasm leaking out of me as the day wore on.
I love the deep pink of these flowers, even though they didn't look very pleased to see me. The stiff breeze was telling me to hurry up and get back inside. I didn't need asking twice.
