Today's the day ................ to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed

Shouldn't this squirrel be tucked up somewhere warm - sound asleep?

I thought that's what they did to avoid the wintry weather. It always seemed like a very good plan to me.  But there were two of them in the garden today-  climbing trees and generally squirrelling about.

We're quite bright-eyed and bushy-tailed ourselves today.  We're awaiting the arrival of some V.I.P.s who are coming to join us for a couple of days.  And what's more - we have an adventure planned ...........................!
