Glossop

Apologies for the terrible pic today of Squidge scaling a staircase. She looked like she was about to fall so had to abandon photography in favour of her safety!

We spent the day in Glossop catching up with good friends (a gang we used to live with back in our Northern Quarter flat dwelling days!) We had lunch at a fab place called Pico, I say fab - the food took over an hour and the place was roasting hot, but to be fair to them I don't think they were prepared for how busy they were. The poor manageress was in a right kerfuffle dealing with complaints and trying to keep her head above water!

To give Squidge a breather (she was tired, hungry and hot - what a combo!) we wandered off for a walk and found a Peacocks shop of all places with a huge sale on kids toys. For less than a tenner I was able to buy her a lunchbox, a yoyo, a fairy wand, a glow in the dark Minnie Mouse, some sunglasses and a wind up toy! That kept her quiet for the rest of the meal. Worth every penny!
