Sunday, February 1, 2015 -- Starfish

While Americans watched the Super Bowl this afternoon, we walked a long stretch of the shoreline and marveled at the wonderland and the playground we were experiencing.

We saw one fisherman, one surfer, one young family with little children, and one young couple riding their bicycles. We each "owned" the beach for a moment today and what a lovely moment it was.

When almost every American is indoors watching the TV (I realize that's an exaggeration), all of the great outdoors becomes magical. Almost every year on Super Bowl Sunday we head outdoors to enjoy the world minus all the people and that's what we did shain today.
