Help!

My camera is poorly sick. It thinks the card is write protected . It's not the card, it's the camera. Googling shows me no local camera repair shops, how will I get it fixed? I am wary of sending it off in the post - bright ideas please, I am v sad.

Nice, sunny day though. Days like this will be even better when I am sitting in my garden office shed to work.
