Walk in the woods.

Such a lovely walk through the woods this morning - flowers are everywhere, blues, pinks, whites and yellows. Butterflies too, blue, orange, brown. This patch of Wood Anemone were cascading down the the slope - as were Portly Lucy and I when I decided to go down to photograph them! A bit further on I found the wild Orchids, never in the wood, but along the side of the path, with their rather strange brown spotted leaves.
Once Lucy had been returned I headed back into the woods for lunch with Nellie  of the Woods and  Artist, friend, homeopath and her husband Teacher/Musician. I'm not sure if it was Artist's homemade Elderflower wine, or the bottle of Cava I had bought and mixed with it, but Artist and I got very silly and giggly!! We tried shaking the blossoms off his tree for me to photograph him in the blossom shower - but he slipped 3 times wearing friends sunglasses ( so he says!) and by that point the wind seemed to have already shaken all the loose blossoms off!
The talk was varied as usual - the wonderful general stores in Callington, which sells everything from screws to wedding dresses! 6 people behind the till, all related, all kind and patient, including the great grandmother who still works there! Artist  wants to interview them for Calstock TV and wants Teacher to do the interview, he said I could do the stills and he would do the lighting, but not pink as he did for the Hafla which caused me major problems. The others decided they would be Gaffer and make up, no-one knew what a gaffer did but we all liked the name! We also spoke of the use of cannabis as a cure for cancer and the intractable position of the medical profession and the law as to its use despite so much evidence it works. Homeopath spoke of how she had heard we all have it at least 7 times in our lives, but the lymphatic system does it's job and gets rid of it before it becomes a problem, except for when it doesn't of course.
Home to check on Estelle - looking perkier but still fluid in crop, so more sick making before she had a roam round the garden. Then a little snooze - again I blame the Elderflower wine!
