Early morning church

Our Sunday morning took in a visit to church today for a baptism.
Time was when we were regular Sunday churchgoers to our local church at Burseldon, near Southampton - the church where we were eventually to celebrate our marriage.
Unfortunately as time moved on we moved away from the pretty sailing village of Burseldon and we fell out of the habit of Attending Sunday services.
So today's visit, albeit to a different church, stirred many memories. The baptism was part of the main morning service. And indeed the priest introduced an element of fun into the service, making sure that anyone within close proximity to the font was also splashed with water as well as the child being christened.
We always regarded our village church at Burseldon a friendly community, but today's christening with a water splash, was an altogether different dimension!
