.....She scrubs up well.......
I am in an honoured position tonight......akin to being knighted by the Queen!
Hebs arrived at the Leaver's Ball shortly after I did....her first words were, "You may take a photograph of me tonight, before the make up wears off, just to show my Mum that I can look good".....So I did.
Her second words were "That's a pretty good shot Goldie, I'm laughing, no double chin and awake"
Followed shortly after by, "Do we have cigars for the Hebdon - Goldsbrough tradition"? Of course we did! Shortly before hebs got married she announced that she'd never smoked a cigar....so I took her one to the wedding....now whenever we are somewhere special, doing something different I always take cigars for us.
I also took eight red roses to the Ball, one for each of the seven girls in my form....and one for hebs who was sharing a table with me.
I think it might have damaged my rep a bit tonight because having taken her photo, given her a rose, got her a drink and given her a cigar I, later, found myself festooned with a handbag and a pashmina while she had her photo taken by the professional who was there!
The Ball went very well and a good time was had by all....but it's now 1.13 a.m. and I need some sleep before getting up for the last day tomorrow before the half term break.
So....just for spannygranny....I present your girl...looking good....and yes I am keeping my eye on her for you.
