Song Thrush

This Song Thrush was very close to me but didn't want its photo taken. It managed to always have some bush or branch or leaf in the way and time and time again looked away at the vital second. So I pretended I had lost interest and it looked round to see what I was up to - got it!

Quite a bright day and a little warmer so went to Crowden in hope of Chats and Ouzels none found but we were cheered by Swallows and 2 House Martins that a resident we talked to felt sure had just arrrived. She also informed us that a Cuckoo had been heard there earlier in the week, It is a reliable spot for Cuckoo so we hope to seen ( or at least hear) that soon.
