Reverting to type

Amazing how when you catch up with University mates you return to type, with for example silly photos of holding up boulders etc.
Day two of David and Gill's birthday weekend and it is a treasure hunt on Dartmoor. Driving around solving questions reminds me of several Wellington leadership weekends but then I knew the answers.A bit harder when you don't
Also amazing how the competitive edge cuts in. How much od you give away in terms of politeness and how much can you keep back without appearing rude. The dilemmas of life on the treasure hunt.
The good news is we stuck at it - and it was quite long - and won. The prize? A Scrabble set which was exactly what one of us wanted.
Treasure hunt followed by very civilized black tie dinner with venison fillet melting in the mouth. The fireworks never arrived but who cares?! The wine was copious and good.
