Spyder, Spyder

There is an excellent bar-restaurant in Kirkby Lonsdale called Avanti. One of the reasons I love  eating there - apart from the atmosphere, ambience, service and quality - is the art on the walls, most of which I believe is created by the proprietors' daughter.

I'm not a big fan of spiders, as such, but I do love this piece on the wall in the garden. It was warm enough to eat outside tonight, my last meal with Dan and Abi before I head off to Glastonbury (and Izzy was there, too, working). 

I'm used to not seeing my big girls for days at a time but I'm going to miss Dan and Abi while I'm away. Thank heaven for mobile 'phones!
