Rainy days and Sundays

No, it didn't get me down, it's Sunday , not Monday! I walked up into the backyard to check out my garden in between rainstorms. I thought it was the only time I'd be able to get out today ( I was wrong). The photo is asparagus leaves with raindrops. The carrots in the raised beds next door to the asparagus  are coming up in droves thanks to the rains. It did brighten up long enough to go for a walk and grill dinner. Hence the extras , both cropped I am afraid as I have to work with my 300mm non macro telephoto. The extras are a field sparrow ( pink bill and pink legs made the ID) and a carpenter bee on cow vetch. And yes, I thought it was a carpenter bee (same as a mason bee ?) but I did have to look up the cow vetch as I have not replaced my Audubon wildflower guide. The surprise not posted was finding wild St John's wort. Who knew it grew wild in NY?
