Before we knew him

I went to the funeral of this lovely man today. This picture was obviously taken a few decades ago as he was 85 when he died. He had attended our church for about two years following a move to the area and also came to my home group. I felt sad that I hadn't known him for longer really, as we got on so well, and I think a lot of other people at our church felt the same....

It is a very humid day today with thunderous looking clouds around. When we were in the garden at the after service gathering, we got rained upon slightly with drizzly, cold rain. It was almost welcome in the heat though!
