Herding sheep

On the way from the Amarbayasgalant Monastery to the Uran togoo volcano (extinct), we did stop to photograph some sheep herders. Mongolia boasts an animal population of about 62 million animals, and a human population of only about 3 million - so it was appropriate that todays pic featured animals.

Extras show prayer flags at the monastery in the morning, and a shot taken in the middle of the night of our ger camp by moonlight, with stars filling the sky - there is so little light pollution that the sky at night is amazing.
