Full on festival day. Started at Cult Coffee, which I'd not noticed before next to Snax cafe....very good bacon butties but highly erratic/slow service!
First show was Jo Clifford as a trans Jesus...quite a performance and clever writing. Then a look round Dovecot Exhibition of Korea's Kwang Young Chun pieces-beautiful tiny wrapped mulberry paper shapes put together into huge pieces. Saw others of his in Venice only a few days ago.
After some jewellery browsing and soup, off to the Traverse to see Swallow, a new play with just 3 actors, two chairs, a box and a light panel. Fantastic.
Tea and cake stop at Love Crumbs before walking back through George Sq and given the sun had come out I thought I should grab the iconic purple cow photo in its new setting. Home for a rest and some programme browsing before out to see Sylvie Guillem as part of her farewell tour. All go!
