Pool this morning.  this afternoon a trip to Lluca in the Tramontana mountains.  A place of pilgrimage due to the statue of Madonna and child found there which turned black.  A former monastery that is now one of the oldest schools in the world.  Boys only until 2006, now girls can enroll and study music 20 hours per week, along with their usual schoolwork.  A very peaceful place, and a lovely lady on the entrance desk was asking about the Edinburgh Festival.

Another stunning church, a welcome cool from the blistering heat outside.  We didn't know there was a pool we could use hidden in the botanical gardens at the back.

6 Euro for the car park after driving up the very winding roads (also used for road cycle training - the roads had motivational messages painted into the tarmac to keep the cyclists  peddling up the steep parts), 20 euro entry to the school for 4 adults and 1 child, and a refund of your car parking fee.  A hidden gem.

Exhausted adults tonight, we imbibed in too much 4.50 euro vino (and that was the expensive stuff).  The big girls headed to the bar for bingo.  They told us they were drinking coke, but they were awfy happy when they got back!    No 1 showed her Nana's gift for bingo and won herself a vodka and coke !
