......another experience...........

Up and out early.back to the hospital to collect the Boss' prescription for Tramadol.............pharmacy open at 9.00........arrived at 8.50..

Showed the Boss' medical card ......confirmed name, address, post code and date of birth......was asked "Has she had this medication before"?.........."Only the single tablet she was given in A & E yesterday"

I was then given a ticket that announced my waiting time would be 30 minutes............what?........hello! ......I'm the only person here!

24 minutes later the tablets arrived....showed the Boss' medical card again.............confirmed name, address, post code and date of birth again!........and then came the killer question............."And do you have any form of ID?"....."Er no".............."Oh well I'm sorry but you can't have the drugs.......they're controlled"................."WHAT!!!"

I've brought the prescription issued by your own A & E department......I have my wife's medical card.............I've confirmed all her details......twice.........I've had no sleep............and I'm standing here in a t-shirt, track suit bottoms and trainers with no socks...........no body told me I'd need ID........so why the f*ck would I have ID with me?

At this point one of the pharmacy staff piped up........"I know this man......he used to teach me.he is who he says he is"...........sometimes it's handy being a teacher in a small town.

The Boss has been a bit better today............she's slept a lot.............but I've still had to do a lot of back rubs...........and support........and running around........tomorrow we have a physio appointment..............hopefully that will help....it better.......it's a private visit.

Perhaps tomorrow's blip will be more cheery.

Das vidanya moy padruga.
