Archie: Street Performer (No 2)

I knew from my infallible (!) BBC Weather app that rain was expected in the afternoon, so Archie and I ventured down town this morning to see what we could see.

My challenge to get Archie into every street performer shot is proving to be quite easy, because lots of them strike a pose and stay like for ages, so I can just deposit Archie in front of them. Like this lot. Though they did start giggling. The flame throwers and unicycle chap on a high wire might prove too difficult...

Didn't want to get caught in any rain, but just missed a bus, so walked to the next stop, then the next. Which happens to be outside an erstwhile Festival venue, which always had a rather, er... laid back vibe. But it's open again. And I spied a big red coffee machine... I stuck my head to ask if they were dog friendly, and I think they decided on the spur of the moment that they were! In fact, they made a big fuss of Archie. A very good flat white (oops, and a custardy, peary pastry) and a chat with the new owner. And yes, he's lived in Oz and NZ, so knows about coffees. And it's a permanent venue, not just a pop up Festival one. I thought it was called Roundsquare Roastery, though I see from Google, that's a coffee business in Ayr, of all places! Good luck to them. Can't have too many (dog friendly) excellent coffee places.

We walked through the Meadows, via the big tent thing, where I got a couple of tickets for a show that's been very highly recommended. By one person, anyway. (LG!)

Home before the rain too.
