Archie: Street Performer (No 3)

Down town today for a quick visit - might as well go there when the weather's fine. Archie gets lots of pats and smiles, and he loves it because there are lots of bollards to sniff.

We met this cheerful lot. They were happy to include Archie in the shot. When we ran into them again further down the street, they waved to us like old friends, though Archie didn't notice.

We walked down Victoria Street to the Grassmarket. What a smelly street that is - Archie loved it. He's so nosy inquisitive, he stops and looks in all the shop doorways. I had to drag him out of Mellis Cheeses (he LOVES cheese) and really drag him out of the doorway of Oink, the roast pig shop. Yes, there is a whole roast pig in the window!

The cafe I used to frequent BA (Before Archie) was not dog friendly, so we came home via the Meadows. And who should we meet there but his wee pal Taylor! They had such a run around while Taylor's mum and I sat in the sun.

JR took Archie up the Hill in the afternoon, dropping me off to visit Uncle A. Saved me walking up the Hill - too tired!

We were planning to see a show tonight. But the Box Office just rang to say that one of the chaps has hurt himself, and it's cancelled! Poor lad, though it seems he'll only need a few days' recuperation. Don't know if he was hurt during a performance or at an after-party... Still, quite glad not to be going out after all - mizzle is settling in for the evening.

Bailey comes tomorrow. For a sleepover... Though Archie doesn't know it yet. The excitement would be too much...
