Kendal in Bloom
Today's the day ........................ for an equipment malfunction
I had quite a worrying time this morning.
I'd finally got round to downloading on to my computer, the hundreds of photographs on my camera. I hadn't done it since March this year - so you can imagine how many there were. Anyway, I left it doing its thing but when I returned, there was a square of death in the middle of the screen saying something about a corrupt file. The worst thing was that my camera seemed to have frozen - and even when I unplugged it from the computer, it was a lifeless lump. I really thought that it was a gonner - and the prospect of a camera-less existence loomed large.
Just as well then that we have a wonderful camera shop in town. It's staffed by young, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable young men. They know everything about photographic equipment of all kinds - and in the blinking of a shutter, they had me sorted. I had to buy a new memory chip, but at £7 that wasn't going to break the bank.
So I went on my way with a spring in my step - and took a picture of the hanging baskets of Kendal to celebrate ..................
