Hurrah - soup weather has arrived!

Butternut Squash today - with crème fraiche and flatbreads topped with chili flakes and cumin seeds.

The field is being cut today but they managed only a few circuits before the rain began. The wind, she blows and the sky is black. I recommend more soup.

Still waiting for my cancellation notice to arrive from the court but they very kindly sent me a confirming email on request, so ferry bookings are now made. Hope the weather improves before we go.
