43

When you turn 43, you might sneeze when you wee, but everything's peachy when you have a puppy.

Birthday visits from Mum and Dad and Sister in the morning but the star attraction was Mr Max Nibbler. He means I win all the birthdays.

Headed off to see the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night at HMT which was intense and mind blowingly fantastic. What clever clever people to have translated a unique book into an assault on the senses using such an innovative set. And there was a puppy on stage so, you know, win, win, win. We all loved it. As did Wendy and the girls who popped past on the way home to see the star attraction too.

Being cute must be very tiring because the Fantastic Max Nibbler (his official voting card name in any future referendum) slept all night last night, a whine or two at bedtime for a minute or so, then quietened down right through to 7 am. And now he's shown off to the family, Sam's pal Lucas and the Galloways, been tolerated in the same room by the real boss (Thumper) for a while, met and peed beside a hedgehog, nose to nosed Boss Dog through the fence, and done his first puppy farts (OMG!). And here he is, wisely sleeping while Tess watches the X Factor.
