A Tongue Lashing

The new ducklings were getting a little too exploratory in their wandering. Almost rambunctious with their dipping and diving. Momma Duck laid down the law...complete with tongue. Push LARGE for a tongue look. She might even be spraying the warning.

"I SAID STAY CLOSE TO ME...YOU LITTLE RASCALS! NOT FIVE FEET AWAY! NOT THREE FEET AWAY! RIGHT NEXT TO ME!

Can you imagine having to be on the alert from all four sides? Attackers from the air. Attackers from the water below. Plus... from the front and back. Must be awful.

4 new families of ducks. I was beginning to think we weren't going to have any. I put a couple more pictures on my flickr page, along with a crazy looking dove, and a pretty white butterfly. I really wanted to post the Naptime photo, but talked myself into this one.

95 again here today. I'm going to have dinner, and go take another swim at the state park.
