Granny's 89th Birthday

It was a fine sunny start to the day and slowly the clouds came in.  There has been sunny spells throughout the day and been lovely and mild.

The day started with dumping the old washing machine at the Lerwick dump.  I spent the morning in Scalloway helping Big Brian move wood for the winter supply.
The afternoon was down at Levenwick at the care centre for granny's birthday.  After tea, I went back up to Scalloway to see peerie Brian.
A quiet night ahead and sister Laura has come along to see photos from today and walk with Sammy.

We've all had a great afternoon seeing granny for her 89th birthday today.  She's been in great humor and full of fun and antics.  A lot of family haven;t been able to make, due to holidays but a good turn out of friends and family.  I'd love to know what granny Lorna on the left is saying to her peerie sister aunt Ruby.  We had tea, cake and then a few sing along hymns to finish off with.  And well done peerie niece Michaela for playing Happy Birthday on her accordion for her great granny and only 3 weeks into starting.  Taken at Overtonlea care centre, Levenwick.
